The reality t.v show, “Dances Moms”, is a cult classic with hilarious mothers, talented dancers, and of course, the one and only, Abby Lee Miller.

Season 2 of the show was arguably the best season to date. With that being said, season 2 nationals had some of the most memorable routines in the entire show.

The episode begins in Los Angeles, where the team and moms find out the location of their Energy Dance National Final competition, “the most famous zip code,” Beverly Hills 90210. This is also when everyone learns who will have solos at nationals.

The episode takes a turn when Abby announces that Chloe, Kendall, and Nia will essentially battle for the chance to compete with a solo. Unbeknownst to everyone, their mothers would vote on whose child dances the piece the best. Of course, everyone voted for their own child, so Melissa had to break the tie. Originally she chose Nia. Then Abby asked the question, “Who would give us the best performance, scorewise?” And Chloe was awarded the solo.

“Dance Moms” is a reality TV show so obviously there is tons of drama. So when Chloe got the solo, there was lots of tension and drama between Christi and Jill, but then again, when is there not?

Around halfway through the episode, Cathy finally shows up to LA with her “Rotten Apples” to quote Miller. This rattles up the girls but because they are so amazing, they don't let Cathy's negative words get to them.

The competition rolls around and it's time for the solos. Brooke performs , “The Diary of Anne Frank”, Chloe performs, “Silence”, Maddie performs, “Telling Myself”, and Mackenzie performs, “Killer Bee”. To no shock, Brooke and Mackenzie get first place in their respective categories, winning both “Miss Energy” and "Petite Miss Energy”. In my opinion, the most iconic moment in Dance Moms history happens when Chloe beats Maddie by a 10th of a point, winning the national title of “Jr Miss Energy”.

Now it's time for the group dance titled, “The Last Text”. It was a very dark routine compared to earlier group dances shown. Mostly because everyone dies at the end. Even Cathy herself believed that the story and choreography was absolutely brilliant. So brilliant that the ALDC won the 1st place National title and the overall highest scoring group dance of the entire competition.

With everything laid out, if you enjoy reality shows, drama filled moms and dance teachers, and incredible dancers, Dance Moms season 2 Nationals is the best episode for you.
