8 Minutes Left
The Nashua North Titan drama club proudly announces the 2025-26 school years play: “8 Minutes Left” by e.b lee. Under the direction of Mr. Freeman, ( who previously did Clue, and She Kills Monsters) this production promises to be so unique.
This sad yet funny play tells the story of the residents of Charlesville, New Jersey, as they spend their final moments here on Earth. 8 minutes left is a touching story imitating humans in crisis. The premise of this show is that the world is coming to an end at 4:44pm today, and no one has any time to prepare. We can peer into the lives of the different residents and if they panic or just laugh, as the story moves from group to group the immersiveness helps the audience picture themselves in the characters position. From elderly frenemies fighting over a park bench to a couple who can’t quite figure out how to use their emergency bunker, this story is full of heart, sadness, and laughter. The show will go up in the first week of April and will have three show dates. Reviews rave about how much of a success this show was at their schools. While a few mention that it is difficult to get an audience to both cry and laugh in the same sitting yet this show manages to do it beautifully.
This cast is made up entirely of students (yes even the elderly characters), most of these students have extensive backgrounds in the arts. While the rehearsal process has just begun, we can already see just how much potential this show will have. Tickets will be sold at the door come opening night, and showings will take place inside of North's auditorium. If given the chance, everyone should come see this show, as we believe that it can change how you see life.
