Nashua North Presents: The Secret Garden Musical
By: Anagha Aravind
This weekend the Nashua North Theatre Department is putting on "The Secret Garden Musical". With a wonderfully talented cast and a dedicated crew, you won't want to miss it!
The story follows a 10-year-old English girl named Mary Lennox (played by senior Mia Powers) who was born and raised during the British occupation of India. She is tragically orphaned during a cholera outbreak, and she is sent away to go live with her uncle in his manor in Yorkshire, England. There with the manor's other occupants, she brings to life a desolate secret garden. A garden where miracles happen.
"I wanted to change up the style of musicals that we have been doing lately, and we had been doing more contemporary ones, and we wanted a classic," says director Brianne Biastoff. "You should come watch because it sounds amazing, and it's my favorite show I've directed so far. 40 kids have been working really hard every day since school started to put on this show.".
When: Friday, Dec. 13th, at 7 pm; Saturday, Dec. 14th, at 7 pm; and Sunday, Dec. 15th, at 2 pm.
Where: Nashua High School North Auditorium.
Tickets: $10 for students and staff, $12-$15 for adults.
Come on and witness "The timeless tale of a special place where magic, hope, and love grow."
