With the recent re-brand of everyone’s favorite Nashua North business, the Titan Express. Our students and staff have all been wondering “Why did you change it?” “This used to have such a good name?” Well, let me tell you something. Titan Express has been around in our school, Nashua High School North, ever since the building was first built roughly 20 or so years ago. So hey, with that amount of time, I'm sure we’ve been a little overdue for a re-brand. So,hear me out and let me tell everyone why this re-brand is actually a good change for our school. |
Before their re-brand, upperclassmen knew this business as the T-Stop. Back in September of this school year, the business held a poll so that members of the Titan community could have a say on the re-brand. They decided on the name you hear now: The Titan Express. Before this revamp, they really only sold cookies and some Nashua North merch. However, now with all of that included, they have expanded to pretzels and popcorn and different flavors of cookies like apple cider, salted caramel, triple chocolate, etc… But those cookies don’t just appear out of nowhere. They have an amazing team consisting of juniors and seniors, including their North Business manager and teacher, Chris Kinney, baking everything fresh. Every Monday and Tuesday the Titan Express is closed to prepare everything so that it is ready for them to open up shop during first lunch on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, but not every student there does everything; Titan Express has different teams consisting of 3-5 members. These teams are like a guide for how they run their business. They have people who market their business online, like a social media team; there are teams for cooking and preparing all the food that gets put out, and they have a team for decorating the business to fit the theme of each new season or event that goes on in our school. Though that’s not all that will be coming along with this new re-brand. We also have some exclusive sneak peeks to what our Nashua North Titan Express has in store for us in the future. “Smoothies, refreshers, frappes, we want to redo the paint in the store and hopefully on the garage door we’ll have our logo”(Chris Kinney). Now, enough with the logistics, let’s hear about what the Titan community thinks of this revamp.
Ever since the new changes made by their teacher, Mr. Kinney, and their student manager,Connor Johnston. Some students have spoken up with their opinions on this matter. Letting everyone know that they either aren’t a fan of the re-brand or they think it is an amazing idea.
The re-brand upperclassmen have had some different viewpoints on it, often asking, So here are some opinions from North students themselves. “I personally think it’s pretty good,” said Katerina Capriotti. " It's better run than the T-Stop but I would like the churros and pretzels to come back”. Victoria Ellespermann on the other hand feels differently. “I don't really know why it happened, I still call it the T-Stop” she stated. . Depending on who you ask, people will say that they don’t care, they like it or they don’t but everyone can agree that the food is much better than it was before. “The new food they are putting out is great”(Aubrey Cunha). It is no surprise that the students of North think this, especially with all the new food choices. Some students have expressed annoyance about them not opening in the mornings though and not selling drinks like hot chocolate and coffee that were sold in previous years. It makes sense because it is always nice to have something warm in the morning to wake you up, but, though they don't open in the mornings, it is always nice to go and get a snack during lunch!
